After gaining some initial project experience in Germany with fellow contractor Bauwens Köln, Claudius Schwartz joined ZÜBLIN International in 2006, where he was responsible for various projects in Russia.
With no further project prospects at that time, he returned to Bauwens Köln in 2009 to lead the construction of a new office and commercial building in Munich as project manager.
In 2011, Claudius Schwartz returned to our group for the construction of the Olympic Village in Sochi, the base for the 2014 Winter Olympics. This led to his appointment as regional director of the then newly established branch in Moscow, where he was responsible for the commercial management, from start to finish, of various multifaceted and complex projects, from acquisition to handover.
Bolstered by his international experience, Claudius Schwartz has been working closer to his home country of Germany again since January 2024. From the Head Office in Antwerp, he leads our group’s Benelux branch, comprising four local regions across three separate legal entities in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. As Managing Director, he is responsible for day-to-day management, the commercial network and the technical execution of our projects.
At STRABAG in the Benelux, we combine decades of experience with a strong regional presence. Backed by our technical expertise and the innovative strength of our international construction group, we turn shared ambitions into well-thought-out, future-proof solutions for the built environment.
