Züblin Nederland B.V. stands for quality, safety, sustainability and reliability. Our integrated management system ensures we meet the highest standards. Below is an overview of the certifications we have obtained.

Safety, Health & Wellbeing

• With the VCA** certificate (Safety, Health and Environment Checklist for Contractors), we demonstrate that our company operates in a structurally safe and healthy manner in high-risk working environments. Using a checklist, it assesses our safety management system, compliance with HSE guidelines (Health, Safety, Environment), management commitment, risk management, training standards and the use of safe equipment. 

• With the VCA-P certificate, we comply with the strictest safety standards that apply specifically within the petrochemical sector. VCA-P is based on the VCA** requirements, but goes a step further with additional safety criteria that are crucial for working in high-risk environments such as refineries, chemical plants and the process industry. This certificate demonstrates that we not only meet standard safety requirements, but also specialise in the additional safety requirements demanded by petrochemical sites.

Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility

• ISO 14001 is a globally recognised standard for environmental management systems (EMS). This standard helps us to improve our environmental performance in a structured way and thus contribute to more sustainable operations. By working with ISO 14001, we are taking targeted steps to reduce our impact on the environment. The main benefits of implementing ISO 14001 are: improved environmental performance, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and the achievement of established environmental objectives.

• The CO2-Conscious Level 5 certificate represents the highest level on the CO2 Performance Ladder and demonstrates that our organisation systematically integrates CO2 reduction into its business operations, projects and the entire supply chain. This means that our company not only drastically reduces its own emissions (scope 1 & 2), but also actively collaborates with suppliers and customers to reduce emissions (scope 3). • An FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) certificate is essential for companies that wish to purchase, process and sell FSC-certified materials with an official FSC guarantee. It ensures that every product bearing an FSC label is truly traceable from the forest (or recycled material) to the end product.

• PEFC Chain of Custody certification involves tracking the flow of certified timber from the forest through the entire processing and distribution chain, resulting in a PEFC-certified end product at the end of the chain. For a product to bear the PEFC label, the certified wood/paper used must be clearly identifiable at every stage in the companies’ stocks and on their commercial documents. The Chain of Custody is a reliable system for tracing the flow of certified wood/paper, step by step, from the felling of the tree to the end products.

• With the Bewuste Bouwers certificate, ZÜBLIN Nederland demonstrates that our construction sites comply with the Bewuste Bouwers code of conduct, which focuses on minimising disruption and raising environmental awareness. Our performance is assessed across five pillars: Conscious, Safe, Well-maintained, Environmental and Social. This certificate underlines our commitment to a professional image, safe working practices and a respectful approach to the local community, ensuring that our projects are not only executed to the highest technical standards but are also well integrated into their surroundings.

• The STRABAG-ZÜBLIN Group is playing a pioneering role in establishing sustainable processes across the entire construction sector. With the launch of the new certification scheme for sustainable construction sites by the DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council), ZÜBLIN Nederland is the first company to have initiated the certification process for sustainable construction sites in the Netherlands. The certification covers all essential DGNB criteria for sustainable construction sites. With the ‘Sustainable Construction Site’ basic certificate, which applies to the entire STRABAG-ZÜBLIN organisation, ZÜBLIN Nederland already meets all the essential sustainability standards set out in the DGNB requirements.
