STC Waalhaven

Light, space and views: a forward-looking educational building by the water.

ZÜBLIN Nederland, in partnership with Heerkens van Bavel BV, has been awarded the contract to construct a new educational building. The project involves the construction of a new school building at Waalhaven in Rotterdam.

The entrance is situated on the plinth of the multi-storey car park and is accessed via a wide staircase. The main volume of the building projects 7 metres out over the double-height entrance, extending to the edge of the south side of Waalhaven. The front of the building is transparent. This provides a lovely view of the Waalhaven and allows daylight to penetrate deep into the building.
