Neste Oil refinery

A new refinery on the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam, operated by the Finnish oil company NESTE OIL, for the production of NExBTL biodiesel, derived from vegetable and animal oils.

The Finnish company NESTE OIL has built a new refinery for the production of biodiesel at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam. In addition to five buildings, ZÜBLIN also constructed the foundations for a wastewater treatment plant.

The refinery’s main building is blast-proof. The structure has been constructed with symmetrical reinforcement so that the building will remain standing even if some of the columns were to be blown away.
