Royal Leerdam Gorinchem

Phased construction of a large-scale, strategically located distribution hub for Koninklijke Glasfabriek Leerdam. The centre forms a crucial link in Royal Leerdam’s international logistics network and supports global supply operations from Gorinchem.

The new distribution centre for the Royal Leerdam glassworks has been completed next to the former Hewlett-Packard (HP) site in Gorinchem-Oost. The total area of the project is 42,000 m² and it is being carried out in two phases. The first phase, covering 31,000 m², has now been completed and consists of two storage halls, a packing area and an office section.

The distribution centre is fully let to “Koninklijke Nederlandsche Glasfabriek Leerdam BV” (Royal Leerdam). Royal Leerdam is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Libbey Inc. The lease agreement has been signed for a period of 12 years. The Royal Leerdam glassworks is one of the oldest factories in the Netherlands and will supply the whole world from its base in Gorinchem.

The distribution centre is situated on the ‘Gorinchem Oost II’ industrial estate. This industrial estate is located directly at the exit of the A15 motorway. Gorinchem is situated 30 km east of Rotterdam and 75 km north of Antwerp.
