Concrete floor at KLM Schiphol
From aircraft maintenance to logistics operations: Hangar 14 at Schiphol-Oost has taken on a completely new role. ZÜBLIN Nederland made a vital contribution to the transformation.
Commissioned by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, ZÜBLIN Nederland carried out work to convert Hangar 14 at Schiphol-East into a warehouse. The project formed part of a functional repurposing of the existing hangar, involving the complete adaptation of the floor structure to its new use.
As part of this transformation, the existing concrete floor was demolished. New concrete piles were then installed to meet the warehouse’s revised load and usage requirements. A new concrete floor was then poured onto this new foundation, creating a durable and future-proof floor structure.
