Auxiliary heating plant

A partnership between ZÜBLIN and NEM is strengthening the Purmerend district heating network with a new auxiliary heating plant. The plant forms a vital link in Purmerend’s sustainable energy infrastructure.

Purmerend District Heating has put the Auxiliary Heating Plant project out to tender following a public call for tenders.

This involves a boiler house that forms part of the district heating network. The building is situated alongside the A7 motorway.

ZÜBLIN Nederland, together with its partner NEM / Standard Fasel, carried out the structural and mechanical and electrical works under a Design & Construct contract. NEM / Standard Fasel was responsible for the boiler systems and acted as the main contractor.
